About the event
Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that your child's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) project has been selected to represent their school at the third Annual Community School District 16 Science/STEM Fair.
Your child will arrive earlier in the afternoon with school staff to set up their projects for
judging which will occur before the fair opens to you and the public at 4:30 PM. Parents and
invited guests are welcome to join us at 4:30 PM to view the fair and meet with their child. You are encouraged to help your child prepare for the judging in which they may respond to the following:
• Scientific thought behind the project (ex: the problem, hypothesis, procedure, observations and conclusion)
• Research they did for the project
• The real world significance around the project
• Process around the project set-up and resources used
This information will be used to help judges understand the project and what the student learned during the experience.
